The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal condition. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall functionality and safety of our residential properties. Duties

• Maintain the Maintenance Shop areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition
• Conduct work in a professional, skilled manner in compliance with safety, plant rules, and good manufacturing practices.
• Assist other personnel as needed to supply tools, parts, knowledge and communication with other areas of the plant. Must be non-abrasive to others.
• Lead by example with safe work practices. Compliance with OSHA standard is a minimum.
• Maintain Food Safe conditions when working in the facility.
• Perform Predictive, Precision, and Preventative Maintenance practices on the mill equipment
• Fabricate and weld parts and repair as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair most electrical issues, including 12v-24v DC and 50V-480V AC single phase and three phase equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair/replace, and program equipment control devices, such as PLC's and VFD's.
• Respond to after-hour call-ins quickly, safely, and independently
• Filling out documentation, both written and electronically
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50+ pounds
• Climbing ladders and working in elevated heights
• Working in confined spaces
• Working in dusty (must be able to wear a dust mask) and loud conditions
• Working with Chlorine Gas (and the appropriate PPE)
• Working around moving equipment Skills Willingness to learn and take constructive criticism Must have 480V 3-phase Electrical knowledge Must have welding experience Ability to understand, remember, and apply instructions in English Self-directed, be able to work independently Must be experienced with computer software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces. Exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force regularly to move objects. Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold. Ability to work in elevated areas and confined spaces. Ability to work in wheat and flour dust environments. Must be able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication and mechanical maintenance. Able and willing to improve electrical, PLC, and other trade knowledge. Able and willing to be able to work 7-day weeks, holidays, and take call-ins in the middle of the night.
