Maintenance Tech B $36.11/hr 2nd shift : Subject to work from 3p-11p, 3p-1a or 3p-3a (8s, 10s, 12s) 5 days a week is still good but the days do vary. Will need to train for min of first 3 weeks on day shift The opportunity: Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. Must be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Must be able to apply knowledge in determining equipment malfunctions and restore in all areas of Manufacturing. Equipment includes Corrugator, Flexo Printers, Rotary Die Cutters and Flexo Gluer's. Primary duties include the install, start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements; inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved and maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. The job also includes performing preventative maintenance functions as directed, assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and to perform other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong desire to learn the maintenance of complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company. Follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Ability to work safely, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and comply with all safety regulations A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes PLC experience a plus along with electrical trouble shooting including drives, contactors, relay logic, etc. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments . Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Provides maintenance information by using CMMS. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
