Position Summary:
Based in Covington, GA the Maintenance Tech will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. Implement the facility's preventative maintenance program Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, quench oils, filters, washer soap and similar items; notify supervisor of issues as needed Maintain clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area; promptly clean up after maintenance and repair work is completed within the facility Assist in equipment performance testing per company-wide and manufacturer's guidelines Perform corrective actions required for out-of-specification conditions as directed by supervisor Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment, facilities and vehicles Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs Maintain shop copies of manuals and blueprints in a neat and organized manner; provide others with updated information as required Run company errands and pick up equipment, materials, and supplies as required Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner Promptly report observed equipment, facility, and vehicle repair or maintenance needs to supervisor. Make suggestions for changes that would help the facility achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety. Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident cardholders. Education - College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred; High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical. Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet plant goals Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must have excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize workflow Actively participate in team meetings to work on problem-solving and continuous improvement of the organization Must have basic maintenance or industrial tools Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
Physical & Mental Demands:
The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following. Must be able to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions Ability to bend, pull, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach to perform functions Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
