Industrial Maintenance Technician Location:
Cusseta, GA Job Description:
Maintains, diagnoses, and installs plant equipment at an industrial laundry. This requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing functions concerning this industry. The type of equipment may include industrial washing machines, industrial dryers, large flat-ironers, presses, boilers, Bunn tying machines, green dry cleaning machines, etc. All equipment is steam operated. Tools will be provided, however, having your own tools would be beneficial.Responsibilities:
- Identifying and diagnosing equipment deficiencies
- Ordering parts and performing equipment repairs
- General Maintenance and upkeep of the plant
- Cleaning and organizing of work station
- Test running equipment after repairs have been performed
- Records services and repairs performed on equipment
- Unloads new equipment off truck using forklift
- Installs new equipment in laundry plant
- Follow lockout and tag out procedures / general safety procedures
- Running new plumbing lines, air lines, electrical, steam, gas, drains, etc.
- Using power, air, hand tools, pipe threaders, etc.
Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use power tools / air tools and work with hands
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to work both in teams, and independently
- Ability to perform tasks in an efficient manner
- Ability to arrive at work on time daily
- Effective communication with supervisor and peers about the status of repairs, equipment, time frames, etc.
- Ability to use machines and automated equipment (forklift)
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs
Experience/Credentials and Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance technician experience required
- Previous electrical experience required
- Previous welding experience preferred
- Must be over the age of 18
- Previous Plumbing experience required Previous experience may be substituted with educational / vocational training equivalent.
