Maintenance Generalist -Starting Pay Range:
$22.00 - $31.45/hr Shift Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Sunday (every Sunday is required) 12-hour shift -8am -8pm Functions To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture Receive training as required Perform various positions as required/assigned Description This position is responsible for general maintenance throughout the plant while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks Must be able to use basic hand tools.Requires:
basic mechanical or maintenance skills, knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, 1 year or more experience in welding and industrial maintenance, able to read & understand assignments, able to communicate orally & in writing, able to hear/respond to two-way radio, able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, able to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, basic knowledge of math, able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment. May monitor boiler and perform chemical test on boiler. May be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems. Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts. Performs duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing, replacement of motors, motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Willing to further education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training. Should have good oral communication skills to discuss issues with the Maintenance Supervisor Needs to be able to understand information contained in Maintenance manuals.
