Job Description

Maintenance Technician I Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facility infrastructure and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role supports daily operations through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and continuous improvement activities.
Pay:
$22 per hour
Shift Schedule:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM Week 2: Saturday to Tuesday 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM •Training will be done Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM until you can move into the 10-hour rotational shift•
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems according to established schedules. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related issues. Repair or replace defective components such as motors, bearings, belts, sensors, valves, and wiring. Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Read and interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Document work performed, parts used, and findings in maintenance logs or CMMS. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate equipment issues, recurring problems, and improvement opportunities to maintenance leadership. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects as needed. Required Skills and Knowledge Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Basic ability to read manuals and simple schematics. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Understanding of preventive maintenance principles. Ability to troubleshoot problems logically and methodically. Basic computer skills for work order entry and documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of maintenance and/or technician experience Maintenance, technical, or trade school experience. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with CMMS systems. Welding, HVAC, (Familiarity with PLC's), or automation experience (depending on facility needs). Powder coating knowledge is a plus but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift materials as required. Ability to work around moving equipment, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions. Work Expectations May require overtime, on-call availability, or weekend work depending on operational needs. Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality. Works under direction and supervision. Expected to grow technical skills through training and hands-on experience.
