Job Description

Job Overview:
The Tufting, Slitter, and Facility Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing tufting and slitting machines, as well as performing general facility maintenance tasks. This role ensures the efficient operation of production equipment and the overall upkeep of the facility.
Key Duties:
Machine Operation and Maintenance:
Set up, operate, and maintain tufting and slitting machines according to production specifications. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to maintain continuous production.
Facility Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Perform minor repairs and replacements of fixtures, devices, and equipment as needed. Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Quality Control:
Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production output.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Train new operators on the proper use and basic maintenance of tufting and slitting equipment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production teams to coordinate activities and optimize workflow. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance activities and issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in operating and maintaining tufting and slitting machines, as well as general facility maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure. Attention to

High level of precision and attention to detail in maintenance and operation tasks.
Communication:
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and document activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
The employee shall perform any other duties as required by the company, in accordance with the job description and the instructions, directions, and control of the company. These duties shall be performed at such reasonable times and places as the company may determine.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
