Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our community and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the overall success of our operations. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to ensure the community is maintained in a safe, clean, and professionally managed condition. Qualifications HVAC Universal Certification preferred (training opportunities available) Technical school or related trade experience preferred Previous apartment maintenance or property management experience preferred General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance, carpentry, and HVAC systems Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Must successfully complete a background screening and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws Essential Job Responsibilities Complete assigned maintenance service requests accurately, professionally, and within company response time expectations Perform general electrical repairs including outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, and appliance components Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, drains, disposals, and piping systems Repair and replace appliances, including dishwashers and garbage disposals Complete carpentry and drywall repairs including doors, cabinets, flooring, patching, painting, and general apartment repairs Assist with apartment turns to ensure units are move-in ready Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, amenities, breezeways, parking areas, and grounds Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property upkeep Support curb appeal standards throughout the community Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities as required Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with residents, coworkers, vendors, and guests Follow all company safety policies and procedures Attend required meetings and training sessions Perform additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment and materials as needed Ability to walk stairs, stand, bend, kneel, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to use standard maintenance tools and equipment safely Equal Opportunity & Fair Housing Commitment The Management Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to compliance with all federal, state, and local fair housing and employment laws.
