Top Notch Garage Door is seeking a dependable and skilled Garage Door Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a commission-based role ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work and want their earnings to reflect their performance, effort, and craftsmanship. We serve homeowners and builders throughout the region, providing high-quality garage door installations, repairs, and service backed by professionalism and reliability. •Minimum 3 years' experience is required.• Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and service residential garage doors and openers Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections Provide professional, customer-focused service at every job site Accurately document service work, inspections, and parts used Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle in safe working condition Submit weekly safety inspection reports in accordance with company policy Follow all safety protocols, driving standards, and operational procedures
Required Skills & Competencies Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of residential garage door systems and installation techniques
Problem Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and complete work accurately
Customer Service:
Professional demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Time Management:
Ability to manage schedules independently and meet service deadlines Attention to
Detail:
Ensures quality workmanship and proper documentation

Works effectively with technicians, warehouse staff, and leadership

Technology:
Basic proficiency with mobile devices and Microsoft Office applications Qualifications Minimum 1 year of garage door service or installation experience (required) Ability to diagnose and repair residential garage door systems Comfortable using hand and power tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and safety Willingness to complete required safety training High school diploma or equivalent Experience with LiftMaster, Genie, or similar opener systems preferred (not required) Physical Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to: Stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment Use hands and arms for repetitive tasks See, hear, and communicate effectively Coordinate hand-eye-foot movements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
