A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Overview In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining residential garage doors with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure homeowners enjoy safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing garage doors that enhance their property's value and security. Installers are expected to complete scheduled work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety. •A current and valid driver's license is required for this role.• Responsibilities Report to the warehouse or assigned job site on time and prepared with required tools, materials, and equipment. Submit accurate daily pay sheets to management for time and job tracking purposes. Verify garage door orders against invoices to confirm all required parts and materials are present prior to installation. Coordinate with the warehouse to obtain missing or incorrect materials when necessary. Complete residential garage door installations as scheduled, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Collect final customer payment when required and documented in the work order. Perform and submit required safety inspections and reports in accordance with company policy. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at all job sites. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, coworkers, and vendors. Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and driving requirements.
Skills Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of residential garage door systems, including doors, tracks, springs, cables, and openers.

Minimum of 3 years residential garage door installation experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. DOT certification will be required upon hire. Completion of required safety training. Ability to follow all safety, driving, and installation protocols. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
