Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the proper upkeep and smooth operation of our facilities by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices Conduct carpentry, painting, and facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the integrity of the property's infrastructure. Maintain facilities equipment by diagnosing issues with electrical systems or mechanical components and executing repairs efficiently. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a secure environment for colleagues and guests. Document all maintenance activities clearly in logs and reports; interpret schematics to identify issues accurately. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep. Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair. Skilled in HVAC system repair and routine servicing to ensure optimal performance. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; experience with power tools is a plus. Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques for both commercial and residential settings. Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within a facilities environment. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and guests when needed. Leadership qualities that support team collaboration and safety adherence. Fluency in English for clear communication across all levels of operations.
