Job Description
You get paid for being available, not just for showing up Most on-call maintenance work pays only when the phone rings. We don't run it that way. If you're HVAC-certified, you're guaranteed 5 hours a week at $30/hour—paid whether a call comes in or not. On top of that, there's steady additional paid work through turnovers, make-readies, painting, and specialty projects, so a quiet week doesn't mean a light paycheck. You'll be servicing an established portfolio of single-family rental homes on a predictable route, not chasing scattered one-off jobs. What we pay $25.00 - $30.00/hour , based on experience and certifications Guaranteed minimum 5 hours/week at $30/hour for HVAC-certified technicians — paid regardless of call volume Schedule On-call coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Where you'll work Single-family rental homes across. Work is dispatched on a defined route, not scattered across the metro. What you'll do Respond to resident maintenance and repair requests, meeting target response times for routine and emergency calls Diagnose and complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, appliances, and painting Perform HVAC diagnostics, service, and repairs (if certified) Complete turnovers, make-readies, and interior and exterior painting as assigned Keep residents informed and communicate professionally at every door Document work, materials, photos, and follow-ups in our work-order system Manage multiple open service requests independently, escalating larger issues to property management Flag property conditions likely to become problems What you need 3+ years of residential maintenance, handyman, or property maintenance experience Hands-on competence across plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting Ability to work independently, prioritize, and communicate professionally with residents Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Your own basic hand and power tools A smartphone for work orders and photo documentation Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage HVAC certification — worth calling out HVAC certification or license qualifies you for the guaranteed 5 hours per week at $30/hour. If you hold EPA 608 as well, say so when you apply. [
