Job Description

Position Summary The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial control systems within a chemical production environment. This role supports continuous manufacturing operations by ensuring production equipment, process systems, and facility infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on chemical processing equipment and industrial production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, PLCs, control panels, sensors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs and motor control systems. Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, blueprints, meters, testing equipment, and technical manuals. Maintain and repair mixing systems, reactors, transfer systems, packaging equipment, and automated production lines. Perform industrial plumbing repairs and maintenance on pumps, piping systems, valves, and fluid transfer equipment. Conduct lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and comply with OSHA, EPA, PPE, and plant safety requirements. Support equipment upgrades, machine modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts usage within CMMS or maintenance tracking systems. Coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Maintain clean and organized work areas while following housekeeping and safety standards. Participate in emergency repairs, scheduled shutdowns, and after-hours maintenance support as required.
