Job Description

Career Strategies is looking for a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in your area! You will be the backbone of the community, ensuring residents have a safe, functional, and comfortable place to call home. This role is perfect for a "handyman" or "handywoman" who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and interacting with people.

Key Responsibilities Unit Turns:

Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins, including painting, drywall repair, and basic fixture upgrades.

Work Orders:

Complete daily service requests for residents (plumbing leaks, electrical issues, appliance repairs, etc.).

Preventative Maintenance:

Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems, water heaters, and common areas to prevent future issues.

Curb Appeal:

Assist in keeping the grounds, leasing office, and amenities (pool, gym, laundry) clean and functional.

On-Call Rotation:

Participate in an emergency on-call schedule for after-hours repairs (usually shared among the team).

What We're Looking For Experience:

1-3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related trade (construction, plumbing, electrical).

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of HVAC (EPA Certification is a huge plus!). Proficiency in plumbing (snaking drains, replacing faucets). Basic electrical skills (swapping outlets, light fixtures).

Customer Service:

A friendly, professional attitude when entering residents' homes.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift.
