Job Description

Summary of Position Perform preventative maintenance on hotel property. This includes ensuring all work orders are completed regarding basic painting, carpeting, plumbing, and electrical. Requirements Has a minimum one (1) years of general maintenance experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Basic knowledge of drywall, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. Basic knowledge and ability to use equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. General Responsibilities Have an in depth understanding of all Operating Procedures pertaining to Maintenance and effectively execute. Performing routine maintenance and overall property upkeep activities. Complete all "Work Orders" requested by guests or hotel staff. Ensure overall hotel condition is in excellent condition. Maintain adequate inventory for hotel equipment and maintenance supplies. Perform Preventive Maintenance on all hotel equipment and guest rooms. Follow and enforce all hotel safety and emergency procedures. Conduct safety and quality inspections throughout the hotel. Actively monitor for needed repairs throughout the hotel. Be a hotel safety ambassador. Specific Responsibilities Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adhere to Operating Procedures. Provide exceptional customer service and greet all guests with a smile. Prioritize daily workload, projects, and tasks with guidance of management. Conduct daily property walks of interior and exterior to ensure the safety, security and quality for guests and associates. Complete requested daily work order requests in a timely manner. Monitor and update electronic maintenance work order system daily. Be proficient on the use of the property management system. Perform routine maintenance and overall property upkeep activities including but not limited to basic painting, carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, and electrical. Understand and practice all hotel safety procedures such as proper lifting, ladder safety, first aid, eye protection and chemical safety. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of hotel's preventative maintenance program and all requirements. Understand procedures of use and locations on all hotel's emergency and utility shut off valves (Gas, Water, Pumps). Maintain cleanliness and organization in all electrical, mechanical and equipment rooms. Ensure all Brand scores are meeting and/or exceeding minimum standards. Ensure quality of product is maintained per minimum standards. Ensure all processes and procedures within the Maintenance Department are compliant with Operating Procedures. Stay updated on Brand requirements, standards, and changes. Take ownership and responsibility for guests concerns on behalf of the hotel, even outside of your own department. Maintain courteous and professional communication with other hotel departments, keep all appropriate departments updated with necessary information. Preform property walk(s) to ensure the security and safety all guest. Conduct weekly inventory of maintenance supplies/tools and ensure adequate stock is available and report ordering needs to management. Inform management of any unique situations, or unusual developments in hotel operations. Perform all other duties as needed and requested by management.
