Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Building Maintenance Technician to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities. This role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep while utilizing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills to keep our buildings operating efficiently. Duties Perform a variety of building and facility maintenance tasks, including skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work. Complete assigned work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Supervise and provide guidance to inmates assigned to maintenance functions within the work unit. Perform facility construction and remodeling projects, including painting, staining, and general renovations. Build, install, and relocate shelves, storage structures, walls, and other facility components. Replace and repair windows and other building fixtures as needed. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training in a building or construction trade preferred. Three years of experience in building construction required. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered. Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and repair practices. Ability to perform skilled work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and related trades. Pay:
