Job Description

Work Shift:
Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)I.
Position Summary:
The EVS Floor Care Specialist is responsible for maintaining all soft, hard and carpet floors in a clean and orderly condition. Cleans assigned areas by carrying out the basic operations of sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping and waxing. Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags. Removes soiled linen and hazardous wastes from all areas. Performs other duties as assigned. II.
Qualifications:
A.
Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent. B.
Experience:
One (1) years of experience in institutional housekeeping. Must be familiar with all types of cleaning agents and their application; must be able to train employees on the proper techniques of floor care. C.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Valid Georgia driver's license. Acceptable MVR history. D.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of heavy floor equipment to include buffers, extractors, wet vacuums, Back Pack vacuums, vacuums, stripping machine, janitor mops and water buckets.
