Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment. Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair. Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. Maintain building facilities. Will be required to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.

• Self-motivated, team player that is proactive in terms of taking the initiative to perform tasks as required.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have electrical experience.
• Trust-worthy, reliable, time-conscious and keen on details.
• Ability to work independently and with the maintenance team.
• Possess good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Desired but not required previous forklift experience including ability to perform limited repair.
• Must comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Desired but not required, ability to weld in order to make general repairs.
• PLC experience/able to troubleshoot.
• Must have previous mechanical, electrical and pneumatic experience.
• Must have good attendance.

EDUCATION

• Minimum academic qualification is a high school diploma/GED.
• PLC Degree/Certificate highly preferred Pay starting at $25 hr or more depending on experience.
