The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and improvement of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and responding to service requests in a timely manner.ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
(includes but not limited to) Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions for cranes, press brakes, lasers, welders, and related machinery. Repair or replace faulty components such as lighting, fixtures, doors, and flooring Conduct minor carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep tasks Execute scheduled preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure efficient operation Assist with setting up and teardown of equipment or spaces for events or operational needs Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies Identify hazards and implement corrective or preventative measures Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulationsQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required Technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar role Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces) Comfortable working indoors and outdoorsPREFERRED SKILLS
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and basic repair Electrical troubleshooting (low-to-medium voltage systems) Plumbing repair experienceLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
