Job Description

CNC Maintenance Technician Charles City, IA | $35 to $40 per hour A manufacturing plant in Charles City, Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the production machines and CNC equipment used on the plant floor, including special project work as needed. Schedule This is an on-site, plant-based position. Compensation $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair manual and CNC equipment, performing preventative maintenance on production equipment according to work order instructions and diagnosing motor controls and control circuits on 3-phase equipment operating at 240v to 480v. You will read and interpret schematics to design and implement controls for new or refurbished projects, identify and source replacement parts, and test repairs to confirm equipment is working properly. You will also make repairs to plant systems such as heating, cooling, and test equipment, relocate machinery as needed, help initiate updated equipment procedures, maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts used, and support other maintenance needs across the plant. This role also involves guiding junior team members and coordinating with external contractors as needed. Required Qualifications 2 to 4 years of vocational training in a maintenance field, or a minimum of 6 years of related maintenance experience Prior maintenance troubleshooting experience with production equipment Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, as well as pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Knowledge of programmable logic controls Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions Ability to work safely with voltage of 240v to 480v Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Experience guiding junior maintenance staff or coordinating with external contractors To apply, submit your resume through Indeed and a member of the hiring team will follow up regarding next steps.
