Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Fabricate needed repair parts and other items by using maintenance shop machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
- Ensure proper completion of preventive maintenance requirements
- Assist to develop and improve current preventive maintenance instructions and practices
- Complete maintenance records as required to document the maintenance process
- Use computerized records to document maintenance activities
- Assist in maintaining adequate spare equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing requests for needed equipment and identifying and up-channeling shortages
- Travel to supply sites as needed to perform maintenance, training, and troubleshooting of collection systems Requirements for
Maintenance Technician:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of two to three years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in high stress environment
- Ability to travel regionally (~25
- 50%) for overnight stays and maintain valid travel documents such as a driver's license
- Manufacturing environment experience with liquid products preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and display solid follow up techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills
