Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Fabricate needed repair parts and other items by using maintenance shop machinery and equipment
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment
• Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
• Ensure proper completion of preventive maintenance requirements
• Assist to develop and improve current preventive maintenance instructions and practices
• Complete maintenance records as required to document the maintenance process
• Use computerized records to document maintenance activities
• Assist in maintaining adequate spare equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing requests for needed equipment and identifying and up-channeling shortages
• Travel to supply sites as needed to perform maintenance, training, and troubleshooting of collection systems Requirements for

Maintenance Technician:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of two to three years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in high stress environment
• Ability to travel regionally (~25
• 50%) for overnight stays and maintain valid travel documents such as a driver's license
• Manufacturing environment experience with liquid products preferred
• Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and display solid follow up techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills
