6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs) QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Tech position available at a company in West Burlington, IA. This is a direct hire position with 1st shift available. Maintenance Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform basic preventive maintenance on various equipment using maintenance requests, prints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, facility systems, and environmental support systems.
- Conduct general building maintenance, including cleaning, minor electrical work, plumbing repairs, and fixing broken items.
- Maintain equipment by removing defective parts and adjusting functional components as needed.
- Assist with installation of machinery and equipment using plant schematics, wiring diagrams, precision measuring tools, and equipment manuals.
- Follow all company and OSHA-required training, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall
- Protection, and Hot Work procedures.
- Support continuous improvement efforts for equipment, machinery, facilities, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Contribute to team success by performing other duties as assigned.
Maintenance Tech Requirements:
- Proven experience working with and troubleshooting PLC systems (required).
- Ability to interpret maintenance documents, manuals, prints, and diagrams.
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repair skills.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and basic maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to comply with all required safety training and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
