Job Description

We are now accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician to perform residential repairs and home maintenance services. We are looking for a punctual, and professional technician capable of completing a wide variety of repair tasks. Thank you for your interest in becoming part of our team! Skills & Traits Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general home repair Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Detail Oriented Strong customer service and communication skills Adapt to what each day brings (no day in property management is ever the same) Active Driver's License and driving history in good standing (company car will typically be available to use, but may need to use your own vehicle at times with mileage reimbursement) Cell phone for timeclock, call, texting usage, and task supporting apps Qualifications Prior or similar experience as a handyman, or maintenance technician Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to routinely lift up to 75lbs Be on your feet moving for the duration of the shift. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen. Work safely in environments requiring the use of power tools, equipment, and potential exposure to chemicals, while following established safety procedures and guidelines. Responsibilities Track and maintain supplies provided Adhere to set deadlines for completion Perform general home repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks Repair and replace window screens, blinds, weatherstripping, and door hardware Adjust doors and repair cabinet doors and drawers Install or replace light fixtures, outlets, switches, bulbs, thermostats, and smoke/CO₂ detectors Replace doorknobs, hinges, doorstops, and fixture covers Complete drywall patching, paint prep and painting Ability to repair and replace interior trim Perform minor deck and fencing repairs and basic carpentry fixes Diagnose problems and determine efficient repair solutions Maintain clean and safe job sites before, during, and after work Communicate clearly and professionally with residents Arrive on time with tools and materials ready Document work completed and identify additional repair needs Wages Team members with limited experience can make $15-$20 per billable hour plus benefits. Those with more extensive experience can make even more.
