Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Duties Install and repair residential and commercial garage doors and openers according to specifications. Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for installation tasks. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation. Perform door hanging, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed garage doors to ensure optimal performance. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently. Apply caulking as needed to ensure weatherproofing and insulation of installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in remodeling or construction-related fields is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Familiarity with locksmithing principles is a plus. Experience as a carpenter or in door hanging is highly desirable. Ability to work on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to garage door systems. Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
