Job Description:
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production equipment, with a strong emphasis on punch presses and related machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support continuous production by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance, as well as preventive maintenance, to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Shift Schedule :
+ 2nd shift 2pm-1030pm (OT available daily upon training) + 3rd shift 10pm-630am (OT available daily upon training)
Responsibilities:
+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on punch presses, metal stamping equipment, thermoforming machines, rewinding machines, and interfolding machines. + Perform repairs on production machinery to minimize downtime and restore equipment to safe, reliable operating condition. + Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and component replacement as needed. + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose problems and complete repairs correctly. + Use PLC troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve basic control and automation issues where applicable. + Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions before breakdowns occur. + Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repair and maintenance projects. + Document maintenance and repair work accurately, including parts used, work performed, and equipment status. + Collaborate with production personnel to understand equipment performance issues and prioritize maintenance activities. + Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices while working on machinery to maintain a safe work environment. + Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to maintenance practices and equipment reliability. + Work effectively within the maintenance mechanic level structure (M1, M2, M3, C0, C1) and develop skills to advance to higher levels with increased mechanical, electrical, and automation responsibilities.
