Maintenance Technician

Millbrook Properties is looking for Maintenance Technician for its Buffalo Grove location. As a Maintenance Technician , you will provide a variety of maintenance and repair services for the buildings and tenants of Millbrook Properties .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform ongoing maintenance and repair work on building systems, including mechanical equipment, and machines to include Rooftop Units, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other installed systems. Complete all assigned work orders and inspections assigned by the Lead Maintenance Technician and/or General Manager in a timely and accurate manner. Perform facility walkthroughs and inspections noting discrepancies and perform repairs as needed. Be able to respond to emergencies during and outside of regular working hours. Perform minor construction, fabrication, and painting work as assigned by management. Comply with all safety procedures and take corrective action by reporting on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the building. Load, unload, and move furniture, equipment, fixtures, and other items as needed in the building. Maintain compliance with the city, county, and state ordinance and codes. Maintain the grounds and parking structure, including snow shoveling in the winter season as needed. Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, building tenants, and vendors. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 1

to 3 years of experience required in maintenance or related field. High school diploma or GED and demonstrate experience that establishes the skills and abilities required to perform the major duties and responsibilities of the position. Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws. Valid driver's license and clear driving record. Basic understanding of HVAC systems, operation, and maintenance requirements. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision. Communicates effectively both orally and written. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office. Experience with Work Order Management Systems.

PHSYCIAL CONDITIONS TO PERFORM JOB

Continuous standing of more than 75% of time. Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 50lbs. Bending/Kneeling frequently required. Subject to loud noise, vibrations, and dusty situations. Capable of performing physical labor such as climbing ladders safely, working from heights up to 30 feet, working on roofs and working from a prone or kneeling position.
