Job Description

Job Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the property is safe, functional, and well-maintained for guests and staff. This role supports daily hotel operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guest rooms, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general fixtures Respond promptly to maintenance requests from front desk and housekeeping teams Conduct regular inspections of rooms, hallways, lobby, and exterior areas to ensure safety and cleanliness Maintain and repair equipment such as washers, dryers, ice machines, and vending machines Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring proper temperature control throughout the property Address issues related to water leaks, clogged drains, lighting, and minor structural repairs Ensure the property complies with safety standards and regulations (fire alarms, emergency lighting, etc.) Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce long-term repair costs Maintain maintenance logs and report completed work to management Support housekeeping and front desk when urgent operational issues arise
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred (hospitality experience is a plus) Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Good communication and teamwork skills Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
