  • Job Title: Maintenance Technician
  • Job Description
  • Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and facility equipment. You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.

+ Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and control systems.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and machine drawings.

+ Troubleshoot electrical components including sensors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, contactors, and control panels.

+ Perform equipment changeovers, adjustments, and machine setups as needed.

+ Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

+ Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.

+ Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities.

+ Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

+ Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Assist with facility maintenance projects, including lighting, HVAC, and building systems.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of 3 years experience with high-speed foods maintenance mechanic experience. + Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and machine drawings + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and welding.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Prior experience working within a food's GMP environment.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $30.00
  • $40.

00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
