Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift Join a fast‑growing global food manufacturing company as we launch our first U.S. facility. As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic , you'll keep production running, boost equipment reliability, and play a key role in building a world‑class operation. What You'll Do Preventive Maintenance — Perform routine PMs, inspections, and documentation to reduce downtime. Equipment Repair — Troubleshoot, repair, install, and upgrade production machinery using a "final task" approach. Production Support — Assist operators with line adjustments and machine performance. Root Cause Analysis — Document issues, investigate failures, and recommend long‑term fixes. Food Safety Compliance — Support HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation standards across the facility. Team Collaboration — Work closely with leadership and peers in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. What You Bring Mechanical Troubleshooting and hands‑on repair experience Hydraulics & Pneumatics knowledge Basic Electrical Skills and welding ability Ability to read technical documents , follow schematics, and write clear reports Comfort using computers, CMMS systems, and production software Preferred Qualifications Technical Degree or Trade School 5-7 years maintenance mechanic experience (food manufacturing a plus) Experience with high‑speed packaging , mechanical power transmission , and facility support equipment Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
