Monday- Friday 6:00 AM

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include, but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.Responsibilities Plant Maintenance Mechanic III Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of recycling production systems. Understand theory, operation, and troubleshooting of Plant equipment. Adheres to all applicable safety standards and promotes a safe work environment by attending safety meetings and required training and addressing all safety concerns while following the Wieland Safety Golden Rules. Follows and adheres to all ISO, OSHA, and DEQ requirements. Subject matter expert for Production equipment maintenance, demonstrating best practice techniques for troubleshooting and repair. Assists in setup and installation of new equipment. Ability to utilize the Equipment Asset Management (EAM) system to enter and retrieve prescribed data. Accurately completes maintenance records, logs, permits, and required documentation. Complex skills required in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems. May rely on higher-level technicians in complex systems issues. Perform scheduled inspection, basic and advanced preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure production teams are able to meet goals for uptime and budget targets.Train / Mentor
other Preventative Maintenance Technicians or Engineers in specific skills and conduct services as required. Actively engages and participates in the department's continuous improvement efforts. Demonstrate behaviors and attitudes that emphasize and focus on permanent resolutions to problems. Help maintain inventory of equipment and supplies. Work with the maintenance planner to maintain the proper Min/Max of supplies and consumables Key point of contact for subcontractor site activities, including but not limited to mechanical repairs, scale/calibration activities, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic system repairs.Plant Maintenance Mechanic III Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Certificate from Trade or technical school or related formal apprenticeship or other documented education in a maintenance mechanic related trades such as electrical, general maintenance, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulic systems or mechanical repair required. Seven (7) years' experience in maintenance with strong mechanical aptitude, working knowledge and demonstrated skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems. Corrective/breakdown experience preferred. Ability to diagnose problems and replace parts to repair. Experience maintaining Industrial Equipment Two (2) years' experience in a Wieland Granite City maintenance position or subject matter expert level knowledge on one or more systems specific to Granite City location is required (since this position assists with training other employees). Valid Driver's License with insurance and ability to maintain a valid driver's license is required. Clean driving record with no citations for moving violations in the previous three years. Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical, electronic, and mechanical trades. Be able to provide a small box of basic hand tools Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standard exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form. Able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Ability to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation. Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to OSHA Adherence to health and safety regulations- Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.

Sit for extended periods of time. Stand for extended periods, walk, and reach with hands or arms. Use hands and fingers to handle, touch, or manipulate items. Stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and walk while handling cases of product. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
