Job Description

Job Summary:
Serve as a multi-craft Maintenance Technician for all related maintenance repairs and upgrades. Maintain facility and equipment to meet production schedule, promoting teamwork and efficiency, ensuring the safe operation of equipment and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Watershed Foods sanitation, GMPs, HACCP procedures, Food Safety policies, and Occupational Safety Policies. Efficiently troubleshoot, correct, and repair equipment as needed. Complete maintenance tasks, including pump/gearbox rebuilds, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical component replacement, piping changes, and small fabrication projects. Collaborate with and oversee contractors for project and maintenance tasks. Propose process improvements to minimize downtime. Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues. Maintain a clean work area and detailed records. Be available for call-in situations, including weekends and other shifts.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience. (
Examples:
Electronic/Control systems, pneumatics, PLC Systems, Industrial Automation & Industrial Refrigeration) Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems. Knowledge of electricity and electronic principles. (
Examples:
motor starters, contactors, relays, 3 phase power) Experience troubleshooting and installing/aligning mechanical components. (
Examples:
pumps, gear boxes, bearings & conveyors) Understanding of electrical schematics and P&IDs. Team-oriented personality. Ability to work in fast paced environment by adjusting priorities to meet production needs. Well-developed sense of personal initiative and decision making. Meet expectations of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying necessary for the job (100lbs) in extreme hot and cold conditions. Ability to install electrical conduit in accordance with NEC preferred. Experience in food manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of industrial refrigeration principles.
