This position plays a key role in keeping our properties safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents and owners. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while also communicating effectively with the team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and is willing to learn company systems and processes. Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include: Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliance troubleshooting, fixtures, locks, and basic carpentry Assist with unit turns, make readies, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks Upload photos, notes, receipts, and detailed updates into the company's property management software Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding maintenance updates and scheduling Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used Follow company procedures for emergency maintenance and after-hours calls when assigned Assist with property inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns before they become larger issues Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and work areas Follow all company safety procedures and policies Work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations and resident satisfaction Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing process improvements Experience Requirements The experience requirements are as follows: Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, apartment maintenance, or related experience preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and general repairs Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and property management software for documentation and communication Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred High School diploma or equivalent required
