Job Description
Maintenance Technician 10 Hours of Overtime Per Week! We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, working with electrical and mechanical systems, and solving complex problems, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to maximize uptime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes using schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation. Repair or replace defective components and return equipment to production quickly and safely. Install, assemble, and maintain machinery, wiring, and electronic components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and testing devices to complete repairs. Order parts, supplies, and equipment as needed to support maintenance activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Follow all GMP, SQF, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and maintain production goals. What We're Looking For Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems . Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Zurich, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
