Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards across the property. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong technical background in building systems and equipment. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and other facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters. Perform carpentry, painting (including residential painting), welding, and general building interior maintenance to uphold the property's aesthetic standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; interpret schematics for complex repairs. Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership in facilities upkeep tasks. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with professionalism and excellent customer service skills. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems for troubleshooting building operations efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or residential sector. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with electrical work and electrical equipment repair is essential. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, and general building interior maintenance. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; experience with welding and carpentry preferred. Knowledge of schematics, building interior systems, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures. Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and schematics; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and reports. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities when needed. Valid certification or demonstrated experience with electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, or related fields; familiarity with Ohmmeters is desirable.
