Job Description Shift:
Night Schedule:
10 PM
  • 6 AM; Monday through Friday and rotating
Sunday Shift Premium Amount:
$2.00
Pay Rate:
$35
  • $42 Position Overview Performs installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems using one or more trade skills (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Prepares and maintains records of completed maintenance and repair work
  • Maintains current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance to meet safety, housekeeping, quality, cost, and production requirements with minimal supervision. Perform troubleshooting and calibration. Perform overhauls and preventative maintenance inspections on machinery and equipment. Install new equipment and make modifications to existing equipment. Rebuild equipment components. Perform standard maintenance tasks to maintain facilities and grounds. Accept personal responsibility for the condition of assigned equipment. Prepare written and verbal reports/recommendations. Assist other maintenance team members as required in support of plant goals.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in Industrial Electronics or related field Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers Strong electrical background Teamwork and interpersonal skills Use of MS Office Experience using a computer (SAP, MS Office, Lotus Notes experience desired)
Preferred:
2-year technical degree preferred Millwork, machine work, and welding experience preferred Ability to drive a forklift Basic understanding of Continuous Improvement is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending and lifting of items up to 40 pounds as needed Work with and around various solvents, inks, corn starch, and cleaning chemicals Access all work areas including frequent climbing on stands, ladders and stairs Sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, climb and reach overhead as needed Stand on concrete floors for the whole shift Utilize fine manipulation skills (including but not limited to the use of a utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools) Must be able to distinguish colors for product quality purposes Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management at all levels Must be able to follow all safety procedures Must recognize that job requirements will change as processes evolve Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job in a safe manner.
