Job Summary:
Our client is seeking multiple Maintenance Technician professionals to support manufacturing operations at a high-volume food production facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment, facility systems, and utilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Technicians will spend most of their shift on the production floor supporting equipment uptime, performing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, packaging, and facility equipmentPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsRespond promptly to maintenance calls and prioritize work based on production needsAssist with equipment setup, startup, operation, shutdown, and changeoversSupport continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and downtime reduction initiativesUtilize CMMS software to create notifications, document repairs, and track labor timeInspect equipment and perform routine observations to identify potential issues before failures occurMaintain machine guarding and ensure equipment operates safelyParticipate in shift handoff meetings with incoming and outgoing techniciansHelp develop and document equipment operating parameters and maintenance proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and company standardsSupport facility maintenance needs including building, office, and grounds repairs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related tradesAbility to recognize and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and plumbing issuesWorking knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systemsExperience with CMMS systems preferredFamiliarity with machine shop equipment such as mills, presses, and brakes preferredFood manufacturing experience preferredFormal training in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing disciplines is a plusExperience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and structured problem-solving methodologies is preferred Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
