The ideal candidate will perform all phases of maintenance, including electrical mechanical systems (i.e. fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance. Maintain required records, reporting in writing any uncorrected mechanical/electrical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor. Duties Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues including 480v 3 phase and PLC communication. Fabricate mild and stainless steel from prints/drawings. Diagnose conveyance and other process issues relating to leaks, plugs, bridging, etc. Ability to troubleshoot sensors, proximity switches, photo eyes, inductive sensors and encoders. Skills 5 years welding experience with MIG and TIG Arc welder on mild, stainless steel, and aluminum. Proficient in use of plasma cutter and torch. Understand and follow lockout/tag out procedures, confined spaces, and MSDS. Follow all OSHA and company policies and best practices including GMP's Proficiency in welding techniques for repairs and modifications. Math, reading, and writing capabilities. Understand blueprints, schematics, repair manuals. Knowledge in electrical wiring for 120/240/480 volts and low 24 volts control wiring. Capability of repairing/replacing pumps, motors and valves. Diagnose PLC issues and work with vendors to repair. Ability to perform a variety of strenuous physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), working in confined spaces, ability to work and climb at heights (50 feet), climbing up/down ladders and stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand, and reach on a daily/repetitive basis. Ability to operate all plant equipment and machinery including rolling stock (trucks/trailers, forklifts, loaders, man lifts). Basic plumbing skills, cut and thread pipe and conduit..
