2nd /3rd shift Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician will support a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging facility by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring reliable operation of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, fillers, and packaging equipment. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues using blueprints and schematics, and calibrate sensors and production instrumentation to minimize downtime and support overall operational efficiency. The role requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, GMP compliance, food safety standards, and continuous improvement while working closely with production teams. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, fillers, blenders, and packaging equipment to minimize unplanned downtime. + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate installation, maintenance, and repair activities. + Calibrate sensors, instrumentation, and production equipment to ensure accurate performance and reliable operation. + Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions before failures occur. + Maintain, repair, and service conveyors and packaging equipment to support consistent production flow and product quality. + Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and continuous improvement. + Apply lockout/tagout ( LOTO ) procedures and follow all safety and EHS requirements during maintenance and repair tasks. + Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance work, resolve equipment issues, and support efficient plant operations. + Support GMP and food safety requirements by maintaining clean, safe, and compliant equipment and work areas. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance processes. + Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and prioritize work to support production schedules.
