division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Woodridge, IL team! The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.Shift:

Position Overview:
This position performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Eaton's mixed-use facility (office/lab/warehouse) infrastructure/systems, equipment, and tools. In this position, this individual will be the primary maintenance representative during 1st shift. This includes timely communication to various stakeholders, such as operations and office staff.In this function you will:
- Complete daily tasks as assigned
- Serves as an emergency response coordinator for all shifts
- Executes lock-out /tag-out to safely deenergize equipment prior to usage.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms, and clock systems
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs new equipment and systems, including all various equipment (drill presses, bench grinders, conveyor systems, powered industrial trucks, dock locks and levelers, etc.) and programmable lighting controls.
- Ensures site emergency systems are operational.
- Maintains electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the county, state and federal levels.
- Monitor's work done by outside contractors for adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) and other regulatory requirements, along with Eaton requirements when Manager is unavailable.
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of tools and equipment (including both hand and power tools)
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC's
- Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Perform work from ladders, scaffolds, reach trucks, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S+ standards.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
- Perform ground maintenance external to the building ##
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum 1 year experience working in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, NFPA, NEC)
- Valid IL driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in one or more of the following: Electrical maintenance, facility, warehouse, or manufacturing maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and groundskeeping
- Minimum 1 year of experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
