Job Description
Summary Superior Fresh is an industry-leading land based Atlantic salmon producer. Our state-of-the-art, aquaculture practices land-based recirculation aquaculture system is the first in the United States to raise Atlantic salmon. At Superior Fresh, we produce the freshest, healthiest food available year-round, while maintaining the highest sustainability standards. This Maintenance Technician role will have an emphasis for performing highly diversified duties within our wastewater treatment operations and overall aquaculture facility. This will include equipment installation, mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance tasks and facilities upkeep. This role will perform their duties with high levels of safety while supporting the company's business goals and objectives. Primary Job Functions This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain wastewater treatment, filtering and aquaculture system and facility equipment. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Read, interpret and follow work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble, repair and maintain equipment. Use electrical and electronic test instruments as well as a full range of precision measuring tools to perform equipment repairs. Provide emergency/non-scheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Sets up and operates a variety of shop equipment including drill press, grinders, welders, mills, lathes and other metal working tools to fabricate and repair parts. Perform general maintenance including, but not limited to mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Complete facility construction/remodeling projects including building and grounds maintenance activities. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. This will include operation of heavy material handling equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, skid steer and telehandler. Follow all company designated record keeping activities. Comply with worker safety, biosecurity and food safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Demonstrate the Company's Core Values in the performance of all job functions.
