Full-Time Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance position requires the ability and knowledge to safely use a wide range of tools and equipment to complete all tasks deemed necessary. This position helps to oversee daily management of building systems including mechanical, electrical, energy management and fire/life safety functional areas. The Facilities Maintenance Associate responds to inquiries and requests for service from internal departments and assists with the coordination of all work orders and requests that address facility needs.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and repair equipment. Perform routine maintenance tests and complete minor repairs on the facility to ensure long-lasting safety for our employees. Must effectively communicate across all departments and maintain a positive attitude with co-workers. Make quick precise decisions that allow you to complete all tasks in a timely safe manner. Use common logic to assess strengths and weaknesses of all solutions, conclusion to solve a problem. Read technical information needed to perform maintenance or repairs. Sample tasks are but not limited to snow removal, mowing, building maintenance, painting, and carpentry. Being comfortable working with heights and using equipment (Scissor Lift & Boom Lift). Being comfortable working all weather conditions.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in maintenance, or other related fields Ability to handle physical workload (lifting up to 50 pounds) Strong attention to detail
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook email preferred. Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be working in all areas of our facilities and grounds. This does include our crossdock, thus employee will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements set for entering the dock area. Such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings. At Carter
