THE OPPORTUNITY
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping Tsunami's car wash equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. Supporting an assigned region of locations, this position is responsible for minimizing downtime, resolving equipment issues, and ensuring sites remain operational and guest-ready. This is a hands-on field role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, solving problems in real time, and taking ownership of equipment performance. The right candidate combines technical expertise with accountability, responsiveness, and a commitment to operational excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Equipment Reliability & Repairs Own equipment reliability across your assigned locations Prioritize and resolve maintenance issues to maximize uptime and site performance Diagnose root causes and implement lasting repairs rather than temporary fixes Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair car wash equipment including tunnels, conveyors, chemical delivery systems, and supporting infrastructure Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to reduce operational disruptions Maintain equipment performance standards across all assigned sites MRO & Documentation Execute maintenance and repair work orders accurately and on schedule Document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history thoroughly Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to improve reliability Technical Expertise Apply hands-on proficiency across multiple disciplines, including: Electrical systems (24V-480V) Mechanical systems Welding Hydraulics Pneumatics Plumbing Support troubleshooting efforts across a variety of equipment and operational systems New Site Openings & Training Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and operational readiness for new locations Partner with Operations teams to ensure equipment is functioning properly prior to opening Train Site Managers on basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices to reduce emergency repairs Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards Promote a culture of safety and accountability at every location Ensure repairs and maintenance activities are completed safely and professionally
WHAT YOU BRING
Proven experience in industrial, mechanical, facilities, or equipment maintenance Car wash industry experience preferred but not required Proficiency in at least three technical disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or plumbing Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with a focus on root-cause analysis Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across a geographic territory Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively Flexibility to support rotating weekend coverage and urgent repair needs

TRAVEL & SCHEDULE
This is a field-based position requiring approximately 50-75% travel across Tsunami Express locations. Travel will include preventive maintenance visits, emergency repairs, equipment installations, and support for new site openings.
