Job Description

Job Title:
Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description This role provides electro-mechanical maintenance support for a manufacturing facility, working as part of a small team of four technicians covering three plants. You will maintain and install electrical power distribution systems, support production equipment, and perform both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to keep the facility and its equipment operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Maintain electrical distribution systems throughout the facility, including 110V, 220V, and 480V power. Maintain and service switchgear, power breakers, and related electrical distribution equipment. Properly size and install power feeds to machinery, including transformers and distribution panels for 110V and 220V service. Install and run conduit for power distribution and install buss plugs as needed. Verify that existing electrical systems meet applicable electrical codes and ensure new installations comply with code requirements. Install and maintain 277V plant lighting systems. Maintain plant fire protection alarm systems, access control hardware, and building automation systems. Support assembly lines by performing general and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems. Install and maintain electrical safety lockout devices to support safe work practices. Maintain production equipment, including electrical troubleshooting and repair of control circuits. Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing air filters and lubricating machine lubrication points with oil and grease. Essential Skills Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable electrical codes and regulations. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams. Experience with industrial power installation, including 110V, 220V, and 480V systems. Hands-on experience maintaining switchgear, power breakers, transformers, and distribution panels. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair of control circuits and production equipment. Experience with conduit installation, wiring, and power distribution for industrial equipment. Ability to perform preventative maintenance, including filter changes and lubrication of machinery. Mechanical troubleshooting skills for manufacturing and facility equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of and experience working on pneumatic and hydraulic systems is preferred. PLC experience is a plus, including exposure to industrial control systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Beech Grove, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
