In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance will be vital in keeping our property in top condition. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical skills while contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, carpentry, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection, pipe repairs, and fixture replacements. Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for various repair tasks. Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting systems, appliances, and other mechanical systems through scheduled upkeep or urgent repairs. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Lead small teams or supervise contractors during complex repairs or renovation projects while ensuring safety standards are met. Perform painting tasks such as maintenance painting and residential painting to uphold the aesthetic quality of the property. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, welding, and general facilities maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical equipment repair. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, and ventilation units. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance including pipe fitting, leak repairs, and fixture replacements. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, CMMS software usage (such as Maximo or similar), and ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical work standards, building interior maintenance practices, carpentry skills including residential painting. Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Ability to interpret technical schematics and technical manuals accurately. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to respond promptly to guest or staff requests related to facilities issues.
