MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- INJECTION MOLDING
Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Calico Precision Molding's production equipment, machinery, electrical systems, and related plant equipment. This position plays an important role in minimizing equipment downtime and supporting safe, efficient production. The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, complete repairs in a timely manner, and work cooperatively with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and other departments. Essential Functions Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs on production equipment, machinery, and plant electrical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment problems and determine appropriate solutions. Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble machine components using appropriate tools and equipment. Perform basic electrical repairs, including motors, wiring, fuses, conduit, and related components. Read and work from prints, diagrams, schematics, manuals, instruction sheets, and oral instructions. Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. Complete assigned maintenance tasks within established timeframes while meeting required safety and quality standards. Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment as needed to safely move equipment, parts, materials, and supplies. Complete required maintenance reports, work orders, inspections, and other documentation accurately and timely. Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Follow all Calico policies, procedures, safety rules, OSHA requirements, and applicable Lockout/Tagout procedures. Work cooperatively with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and other departments to support safe and efficient plant operations. Assist with production needs or other duties as assigned by management. Qualification Requirements Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment. Ability to read and understand prints, diagrams, manuals, and instructions. Ability to safely use common hand and power tools. Ability to operate a forklift safely and in accordance with Company requirements. Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks accurately and timely. Physical Requirements & Work Environment The Maintenance Technician works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to moving machinery, elevated noise levels, heat, cold, lubricants, chemicals, electrical equipment, and other industrial conditions.
