Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by performing electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting on production equipment. This role focuses on diagnosing issues with Omron and other PLC brands, as well as maintaining and repairing 3-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, pumps, belts, and roller conveyors. The technician plays a key role in both reactive maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance, working closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and keep machinery operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment, including 3-phase motors, switches, sensors, servo drives, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, motors, belts, and roller conveyors. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including Omron and other brands, using existing programs and Click PLC interfaces without the need for programming. Essential SkilOur Client At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with 3-phase motors, switches, sensors, servo drives, and VFDs. Proven mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, pumps, belts, and roller conveyors. Ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting on equipment using existing programs and interfaces, without programming requirements. Demonstrated ability to work self-motivated and independently, including troubleshooting and resolving issues alone at times. Additional SkilOur Client & Qualifications Experience troubleshooting Omron and other PLC brands in a production environment. Familiarity with Click PLCs and the ability to navigate simple PLC interfaces. Experience with part ordering and inventory support for maintenance operations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and priorities. Ability to adapt to a growing maintenance team and evolving equipment base as new machinery is installed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
