Day and Night Shifts Available Position Overview Our client in Franklin, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, preventing downtime, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on plant machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Interpret mechanical prints, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose and repair equipment issues
- Assist engineering and production teams in developing and implementing equipment and process improvements
- Communicate equipment maintenance needs and requirements effectively with supervisors and production personnel
- Provide input and support for preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Assist electricians, engineers, and other maintenance personnel as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, equipment reliability, and efficiency
- Promote and demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
- Willingness to assist across departments to support plant operations
