Hammond Overview of Maintenance Technician Purdue University Northwest's Housing department is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our fun and friendly staff! The Maintenance Technician will have responsibilities that include; semi-skilled building maintenance work while completing service requests, working on minor projects, and when making repairs. Orders and picks up needed materials and supplies to perform work. Works, as required, and supports the following functions: mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, roofing grounds, and building services. Coordinates, documents, and performs preventative maintenance activities and informs immediate supervisor of necessary additions/deletions to facilities documentation. Utilizes technology to complete work orders and communicate. Perform other related duties as requested by a supervisor. Practice and encouragement of a "Safety First" attitude by using safe work practice when performing all duties and responsibilities.PNW Job Title:
Service Maintenance Worker Pay:
up to $18.00/hourSchedule:
Typical work week for Day shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM or Tuesday
- Saturday 7:00 AM
- 3:30 PM. Typical work week for afternoon shift is Monday
- Thursday from 3:00 PM
- 11:30 PM. On Fridays hours are 2:00 PM
- 10:30 PM. Typical work week for Housing maintenance is Monday
- Friday 8:00 AM
- 4:30 PM.
