Maintenance Technician Location:
Kendallville, IN Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of industrial equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, motors, compressors, and control systems. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain and repair heating equipment, including furnaces and burners. Work closely with production staff to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment. Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Education & Certifications:
Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
