Job Description

Thiesing Veneer Co. is a family owned custom cut hardwood veneer manufacturer located in Mooresville, Indiana. At our production facility, we convert various species of hardwood logs into sheets of veneer that will be used for wall paneling, doors, furniture, cabinets, flooring, and musical instruments. Thiesing Veneer is seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician to add to our team. The position is responsible for safely maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and installing industrial equipment. The work environment requires that you work near heat, noise, dust, and dirt with the physical requirements of standing, walking, heavy lifting, climbing, crawling, crouching, bending, squatting and kneeling as needed.
Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm & Saturday 7am-Till Work Finished (Sometimes finishes early 11am or can be a full day). Saturday work is mandatory and you must commit to the majority of them, but if you need to occasionally schedule one off it can be planned out.
Pay Rate:
$21.00-$30.00/hr depending on education level & experience. The Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge: Experience with mechanical systems (chains, sprockets, motors, belts, bearings, shafts, gear boxes, conveyors, etc.) Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic systems (cylinders, valves, pumps, solenoids, brake systems, compressor systems, plumbing, etc.) Experience with electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays, frequency drives, PLC's, reading schematics, running conduit, pull & land wire, 480-24V circuitry, lighting, transformers, etc.) Experience with powered hand tools and stick welding Experience with forklifts and lifting equipment Experience fabricating new parts and repairing damaged parts as needed Experience troubleshooting the different systems (diagnostics and problem solving) Ability to work under limited supervision with self-motivation and pride on assigned tasks Reliability and dependability with perfect attendance
